An All-Day Bar And Restaurant That Breathes Life | Iram Boxwala Design Studio & AVVO
The journey began with a vision to transform the forgotten structure into an all-day dining and bar experience. The concept behind 3 Stories is not just about physical levels. It’s about creating distinct narratives on each floor, making the space a compelling trilogy. 3 Stories unfolds across 3,500 sq. feet, encompassing the 3rd floor, the 4th floor, and a captivating terrace. The challenges posed by the building’s neglect were seen as opportunities for innovation. The result? A harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality that seamlessly integrates into the vibrant Juhu landscape.
The daylight flooding from both sides, transforms the 3rd floor into a lively day bar and an intimate restaurant. The ambiance is further enriched by the presence of numerous plants.
The placement of greenery not only infuses the space with natural tranquility but also accentuates the vibrant spirit of Juhu.
Low tables and an inbuilt couch seamlessly blend comfort with style. Thus, it invites people to unwind in a setting that marries nature’s charm with modern aesthetics. The design team curated an atmosphere that embraces natural light, enhancing the dining experience.
With its lower ceilings and smaller windows, the 4th floor transforms into a cozy haven as the sun sets. Thus, it sets the stage for nighttime rendezvous. The designers have created a dimly lit atmosphere that invites patrons, revealing the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort. This is centered around a large central bar.
The predominantly high tables create a vibrant bar vibe, inviting guests to share laughter and create lasting memories.
But the magic doesn’t stop there. This floor is a canvas for memories. It features an Instagram worthy backdrop and a dedicated photo booth for those ‘insta-fabulous’ moments. Adding to the allure, the walls between the 4th floor and the terrace serve as a canvas for customer stories. This offers a unique interactive experience. It’s not just a walk. It’s an opportunity to ‘share your story’ on the walls, leaving a mark on the narrative of 3 Stories.
Crowning the 3 Stories saga, the terrace on the 5th floor is a breathtaking experience. With impressive height and tall windows, it’s a perfect canvas for our design experimentations. Thus, it creates an ambiance that captivates both day and night.
As the sun sets, the terrace invites patrons to relish the magic of the moment. Thus, it transforms every visit into an immersive experience. Greenery, bamboo cane lights, and artful partitions create a cozy charm. Meanwhile, textured stone walls by Flexstone and irregularly laid natural Indian kotah stone flooring add rustic authenticity to the vibe. Thus, it transports you to European landscapes.
The terrace at 3 Stories is not just a terrace. It’s also a serene escape above the city lights, promising unforgettable moments beneath the painted Mumbai sky.
3 Stories in Juhu stands as a testament to the transformative power of design and collaboration. The narrative woven across the three floors reflects not just the journey of the architects but also the resilience of the space itself. As we unveil 3 Stories to the world, it’s not just a hospitality venture; it’s an invitation to be a part of a trilogy that celebrates the beauty of timeless elegance.
